[News/Trans] 130430 THSK has started 5-dome-tour & confirmed to hold concerts in Nissan Stadium!

A popular duo THSK has started their first dome tour “LIVE TOUR 2013 ~TIME~” , starting from Saitama Super Arena. On the 29th, they announced a concert to be held in Nissan Stadium, Kanagawa. On that day, the venue was filled with feverish excitement. The audience was calling for an encore.

Changmin said, “We will achieve our dreams, dome tour. Beyond our dreams, we will hold a concert in Nissan Stadium“. Yunho continued, “It is going to be a new step. It’s time for us to unite in pursuing the new dream,” with a smile.

A scream of delight went up from the audience. On that day, they were full-out at the beginning. “We’ll be full-out. Are you guys ready?” said Yunho. They heated up the venue with their powerful performances, including their hit tune “Catch Me ~if you wanna~”. They also performed their new single OCEAN. THSK has made their dream come true. They have been dreaming for the dome tour since their Japan debut in 2005.

Changmin said: “It’s TIME for us to make our dreams come true. The dome tour is like a proof that we, THSK and fans, have been earnestly working hard“. He continued, “How great that we can start the tour from Saitama Super Arena. We used to dream of holding concerts in Saitama Super Arena“.

Yunho said: “Like taking stairs, THSK has been trying to attain our goals since we first came to Japan. It wasn’t a smooth sailing. We have to admit that we have struggled a lot. But every time we face a “turn and twist” situation, you guys are there for us. We really appreciate it because we wouldn’t be able to make our dreams come true without you“.

◆New single “OCEAN”-the most HOT song.

“Blow away the heat of the summer with your cheers!”

The numbers of fans to attend THSK’s concerts will be 850,000. Our daily effort, every single step brings us what we have today. It’s called TIME. To live is to value what we have NOW. Their new album TIME has such concept. THSK has started the tour. The first day of the tour is the 4/27. It’s the same date of their Japan debut. In the 3 hours of “TIME journey”, we will get to see THSK’s “PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE”.

The highlight of the concert where the audience gave a glad shout was “Catch Me ~if you wanna~”. The song is famous for the unique performance called “hulk dance”. Of course, you will be satisfied with their steady skills as singers as well. The song and the performances represent their PRESENT. And their new single, OCEAN, will be a piece of their FUTURE.

Feeling so fly like a g6! It’s different from our other summer songs. You can play it at beach.

    _Changmin.

Check out the dance! Let’s jump together.

    _ Yunho.

When they jump, saying “Come on! Swing the towels!” the audience got so excited. The song created the “summer beach” atmosphere in no time. And this is how the new “live song” was born.

Sapporo Runs Trains Later Than Usual for TVXQ′s Dome Concert

TVXQ (DBSK) even got Sapporo to run extra trains for its concert held in the region.

Since April 27, TVXQ has been touring five domes in Japan for its TVXQ Live Tour 2013 ~Time~.

At the concert held in the Sapporo Dome on May 5, U-know Yunho said, “Our first tour in Japan started at the Sapporo Live House with 400 fans. Now, there are about 100 times more people sitting before us. I feel so proud.”

He had reason to be proud, as on the day of the concert, the Sapporo JR Line even ran temporary trains late into the night to help fans get home safely after the concert.

Notices were posted up before the day of the concert, reading, “A concert by ′TVXQ′ will be held at the Sapporo Dome on May 5. The JR Hokkaido will be running extra trains to help audiences get home.”

It is a rare event to have subway times extended for a single artist.

TVXQ will continue to perform until mid-August. Its tour′s finale will take place at the Nissan Stadium, the largest performance hall in Japan.

5 Dome Tour Finale, 2 Performances Decided in the 75,000 Capacity Nissan Stadium!

First Stadium Performance By a Foreign Artist in Japan, Writing a New History!

TVXQ have made a new history in Japan once again.

On the coming 8/17 and 8/18 for two days TVXQ will be holding their finale show of their 5 Dome Tour 「TVXQ LIVE TOUR 2013 TIME」in Nissan Stadium located in Yokohama, becoming the first foreign artist to hold a solo show in a stadium.

TVXQ will open their show in Yokohama’s Nissan Stadium which has a capacity on the scale of 75,000 people, with 2 shows, and with two shows it’s expected to push over 150,000 as Japan’s legendary bands X-Japan, L’ArcenCiel, and national groups SMAP, EXILE, etc., Japan’s top groups have performed here.

Especially, for TVXQ, it’s not just being the first foreign artists to hold a performance at such a large scale stadium, to be able to speak about holding a performance in a Japan’s best stadium after dome performances is literally a dream stage for Japan’s most established older artists, proving once again that TVXQ is recognized as top singers locally in Japan with a very high popularity and influence.

Furthermore, TVXQ is the first Korean artist to hold a 5 dome tour, first foreign artist to hold a stadium performance, and with just this tour will mobilize an audience of 850,000 people. As this is TVXQ’s biggest scale solo tour and at the same time the record for mobilizing the largest audience for any Korean artist, they are endlessly breaking their own records, writing a new history, and from now there will be even more anticipation for TVXQ’s future steps.

Also , this June, TVXQ will release their new single 「OCEAN」which was first revealed through this tour. 「OCEAN」is a suitable cheerful song for this summer, and this year SUMMER SONG is expected to receive great popularity locally (in Japan).

TVXQ’s Japanese national tour 「TVXQ LIVE TOUR 2013 TIME」started off impressively in Saitama Super Areana (Stadium Mode) on the 27th for 3 days where 100,000 people went wild, they continue with Sapporo Dome on 5/5, 5/10-12 in Nagoya Dome, 5/25,26 in Fukuoka Yahoo Dome, 6/5-6,8-9 in Osaka Kyocera Dome, 6/15-17 in Tokyo Dome, and will hold the finale in Yokohama Nissan Stadium on 8/17,18, covering a total of 18 shows and mobilizing a booming crowd of 850,000.

Meanwhile, TVXQ’s new Japanese single 「OCEAN」will be released locally on 6/12.

    [TRANS] 130428 – 130505 TIME Tour Staff Diary ★Here Goes Ms T & Mr T★

    May 7, 2013

    It’s Mr T!

The concert in Sapporo will be beginning soon!!

The goods, CD/DVD and fanclub booths at the Sapporo venue are set-up at the carpark outside.
It seems that fans who purchase the “TIME” album at the venue will receive the double-pocket clear file~
There are three patterns , “past”, “present” and “future”, to choose from, and the concert venue for that day is also printed on the reverse side!!

Since we’re in Sapporo today, “SAPPORO DOME 2013.05.05″ has been nicely printed on the back!
In other words, the print “NAGOYA DOME 2013.05.10 2013.05.11″, will be on the files available at the Nagoya Dome.

The “Venue Limited Message Ballpens” are also rare items that are only available on that particular date, at that particular venue, but also be sure to get the “double-pocket clear file” as well!
They will be available right up to the last stop, so please do drop by♪

    2013.05.05 – Sapporo! Mini-Dorayaki!

    It’s Ms T!

    The Sapporo concert has begun~
It rained a little in the morning, but everyone’s fired up now so the weather seems to be working in our favour as well!
That being said, it’s still a little cold so be careful not to catch a cold.

Today, I’ll be introducing the mini-dorayakis that are a big hit at the concert venue♪

They were made available (to the staff) at the rehearsal venue as well as it Saitama, but they were finished within minutes.
I guess everyone was hungry since they’d been working since morning…
Therefore, two boxes were provided in Sapporo (laughs)

It’s a chunky bean paste type, but it’s not that grainy, so it should be alright even for people who don’t really like grainy bean paste?
Each one is 5cm across so it’s a good size as a snack.

The members, dancers and band members all enjoyed eating them as well!
It’ll be gone in no time so I’m snapping a picture of it first.

The dorayaki you get at the airport is good as well, but do get the mini-dorayakis as a memory of the “TIME” tour♪

    2013.05.02 – Mini-Truck -TIME-!

    It’s Mr T!

Today, I’ll be introducing the “Mini-Truck -TIME-”!

This is already a customary item!
I believe there are many people who have the “monochrome version” or “colour version” trucks that were sold at the previous tour!

This time, there are actually two versions. The “album version” that could be seen driving around the city center, and the “tour version”, that was made using pictures from the tour pamphlet.

It was originally planned for only the “album version” to go on sale, but the “tour version” was added in quickly, after the pictures in the tour pamphlet were so well-received.
However, I think that it is a wonderful thing that the “album version” serves like a catalogue, to compile the images on the CD albums of them as artists (o^∇^o)ノ

I lined up the mini-trucks from the previous tour as well!
Although they’re min-trucks, they really are outstanding..

※The “monochrome version” and “colour version” trucks that were sold during the “TONE” tour are no longer available for sale.

    2013.05.01 – Sticker Set in a Can!

    It’s Ms T!

    Sorry about (not posting) yesterday!!
I was absent-minded as the excitement and emotions from Saitama were still lingering…

Since I’m in a better state of mind now, let’s continue the behind-stories of the production of the goods!
Moving on, I’ll be introducing the sticker set in a can♪

The logo sticker is great for people who travel often as you can stick it on your passport case or suitcase (人´З`)☆

The stickers come in many different colours, and I heard that this transparent type was chosen among 10 different materials~

The staff at Saitama are all hard at work at the venue, but we spotted some stickers being stuck on their laptops or notebooks!

The feedback was that since it’s not made of paper, the sticker does not tear apart when you are trying to peel it off. Also, it sticks on nicely even on curved surfaces♪
If you were to stick it on a personal artifact, it cheers you up be it on concert days or on a regular day ★

The can can also be used, and this is available at an affordable 900 yen!
I have placed them in on the desk with sticky notes and clips so that I can hand them to seniors once they ask for it!

2013.04.29 – Final day at Saitama!

    It’s Mr T!

It’s just a little more than 2 hours till the opening of the final concert at Saitama Super Arena…
We’ve been blessed with good weather over these 3 days, it’s even a little hot today!!
But the wind is cooling so the weather is really great.
It’s early but there are already people wearing the tour T-shirts and waiting in line for the doors to open~

There are also fanclub booths and CD/DVD booths at the venue.
For those who have already purchased the tour goods, please feel free to visit these booths as well.

The fanclub booth can be identified by this bright red Bigeast tent~
Applications are open for new members or membership renewals!
    We are also here (laughs)!

In the neighbouring tent, the jumbo towel (black version), the desktop calendar full of behind-the-scenes shots and the diary are also on sale for members who have had their membership for more than 2 years.
If you were to renew your membership there, you will get a black towel on the spot!

We spotted some stylish fans outside the venue ♪

The take-out bag that stands out against a fully bright red outfit, the classy contrast of red x black…it’s no joke.
Matching mini-tote between parent and child or friends.
Everyone is so fired up, we have to work harder too~

    2013.04.28 – How the snowglobe was made…

    It’s Ms T!

It’s day two of the opening concerts today!
The concert will be beginning soon.

I am really honoured to be able to experience this stage full of excitement and emotions, and enjoy a “TIME’ full of happiness with everyone! From those who experienced this stage yesterday and those who are about to experience it today, to everyone who is looking forward to the other concerts.

The sky is also clear today at Saitama!
Has everyone seen the giant snowglobe replica which Mr T uploaded a picture of yesterday?
It will remain as a phototaking spot for everyone right till the end of the concert today~

I’ll be introducing the behind-the-scenes stories of the production of the snowglobe ♪

It seems like much effort went into the careful production of the snowglobe, and it took more that half a year from planning to completion!
The snowglobe was secretly being planned from the time the dome tour was decided upon.
“Isn’t it impossible for such a historic moment to be compressed and stored permanently (in a snowglobe)!!” (;・д・A

Using a special clay, the sculptor first made a form based on the design.
Changes and additions were made to the form based on the consideration that it would be placed inside a glass globe.
Doesn’t the figurine somehow appear really small compared to the globe?

But once water is added, it appears that much bigger. wowww (・д・oノ)ノ

The visual effect of light refraction is explained so evidently here.
It appears approximately 1.7 times larger!

The colours were confirmed and modified, and the glitter was chosen, before the snowglobe is finally completed with the setting of the clock.

Although it’s a little pricey, this is because of the time and effort that went to making it.
The battery of the clock can also be replaced. This item will be a nice addition to any collection.

[TRANS] 130817 [Reporter's Notebook] The Task TVXQ’s Nissan Stadium Concert Has Given K-pop’s Hallyu Wave

TVXQ (U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin) have reached the pinnacle of the Hallyu Wave’s popularity. They will be holding a concert at Japan’s Nissan Stadium (seats 72,000) for two days.

On the 17th and 18th of August, TVXQ will be holding the finale of their ‘TVXQ LIVE TOUR 2013 ~TIME~’ Five Dome tour at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan.

A Five Dome tour is a tour that is held in Japan’s five major dome stadiums (Tokyo Dome, Osaka Dome, Nagoya Dome, Fukuoka Dome, Sapporo Dome). Each performance attracts at least 30,000 people and Tokyo Dome can hold the largest capacity of 50,000 people per performance. If two concerts are held in each dome, a Five Dome tour can attract a total of 300,000 people.

Only a handful of singers have held such a tour. Singers who have held such Five Dome tours leave their mark in the music industry as ‘legendary singers’.

What is more impressive than a dome concert is a concert at the Nissan Stadium. With approximately 70,000 audience members per performance, many call it ‘the concert of dreams’.

The Nissan Stadium (formerly known as the Yokohama International Stadium) was built in 1998 and boasts the largest seating capacity of 72,327. It is the place where the finals of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup was held. There have only been nine singers who have held concerts in the stadium, and they are the Southern All Stars (2004, 2008), Mister Children (2007), B’z (2008), Glay (2009), X-JAPAN (2010), L’Arc En Ciel (2012), Eikichi Yazawa (2012), AKB48 (2013) and Momoiro Clover Z (2013).

Singers who have held concerts at the venue are called ‘the legend of all legends’, ‘the nation’s singer’ or ‘the rookies who have taken the nation by storm’. What must it feel like to hold a concert for 72,000 at once? Singers who have stood on the stage of Nissan Stadium say, ‘It feels like you’re God, looking down at the people of the world.’

TVXQ are now set to be the first non-Japanese singers to hold a concert at the Nissan Stadium.

It could be said that this will be the pinnacle of K-pop’s Hallyu Wave. A Five Dome tour followed by a concert at the Nissan Stadium. Such a task is not an easy feat that any popular singer can accomplish. When looking at accomplishments in Japanese concerts, TVXQ have climbed as high as they possibly can

However, TVXQ’s Nissan Stadium concert does not guarantee the longevity of the Hallyu Wave’s popularity in Japan.

TVXQ are basically considered the founders of Japan’s Hallyu boom of K-pop boy bands. It’s already been more than eight years since they made their Japanese debut. Therefore, their Nissan Stadium concert should be seen as the rewards that come from eight years of hard work and experience that TVXQ have put into their Japanese activities.

For K-pop’s Hallyu Wave to continue in Japan, TVXQ’s juniors have a big task ahead of them. The domestic music market should focus more on helping talented rookies with new contents grow and develop rather than being swept up in the euphoria that TVXQ’s Nissan Stadium concert signifies the power of K-pop’s Hallyu Wave.

[TRANS] 130818 TVXQ Captivate Yokohama… The ‘Reignition’ of K-pop’s Hallyu Craze In Japan
140,000 people flock to the Nissan Stadium
A live screening in 38 movie theaters across Japan

“I became a fan of TVXQ 3~4 years ago and have been attending their concerts since then. My mother is a fan as well, so I came to tonight’s concert with her. I really like Yunho and Changmin because they are so charming.” (Fumiya Gato, 23)

“I’ve been a fan of TVXQ for a long time. When I listen to their songs, I feel better, like I’m being filled with energy and life. Our family of four, including my daughter, are here for tonight’s concert. I like U-Know Yunho just a little more than Max Changmin, and it’s because he’s so ‘hardworking’, a trait that people in my generation favor in people.” (Eiko Gamiyauchi, 66)

TVXQ will be rewriting the history of K-pop on the 17th and 18th at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan. They are the first to hold a concert at the Nissan Stadium, which seats approximately 72,000 people, and have sold all 144,000 seats for both days. Only a select few have performed at this venue, including top stars such as X-JAPAN, SMAP and EXILE.

TVXQ became the first Korean singers to hold a Five Dome tour in Japan in April and their upcoming concerts will bring the total number of audience members of this year’s tour to 850,000. With each ticket costing an average of 9,800 Yen, the total amount of money earned from ticket sales alone is approximately 95 billion Won.

The stadium concert, which is the finale of TVXQ’s Japanese tour, will be screened live at 38 movie theaters across Japan, including Osaka and Hokkaido. With the group gaining new male fans in their twenties, attending a TVXQ concert has become part of the younger generation’s dating culture.

On the 17th, TVXQ captivated their fans with songs from their albums such as ‘Android’ and ‘Superstar’, as well as solo performances of ‘T Style’ (Yunho) and ‘Rock With You’ (Changmin). The encore performance alone was an hour-long feat with the group performing songs such as ‘WHY’ and ‘Somebody to Love’. The Japanese audience accepted TVXQ as one of their own and became one with the members. With a sturdy foundation created through a glocalization strategy, the members sang in Japanese and had their fans laughing as they joked around in the language as well.

The visuals of their concert were the highlight of the performance. The sight of 70,000 fans in one space along was a sight to see. TVXQ appeared on the large stage in elevators and rode a monorail around the stage as they performed dance tracks. The screens on stage showed videos of the two members free-falling or being chased, adding adrenaline and excitement for the fans.

The audience members’ fanlights took the atmosphere up a notch. The company in charge of the concert distributing red fanlights and electric cheering watches to the fans, and central control system changed the color of the fanlights to red, blue and green. When firecrackers and fireworks were set off, the atmosphere was hotter than ever. After the concert ended, Max Changmin said, “I’m so proud and excited about the fact that we just held a concert with the biggest audience in the world in one space,” and “We hope that this becomes the foundation for spreading the word about K-pop to the world.” He then added, “It’s a shame that I wasn’t able to meet the eyes of all our fans in the audience because it was such a big concert venue.”

U-Know Yunho stated, “The stadium is about 1.5 times bigger than the Dome (seating capacity of 50,000), so I was worried about the physical task that lay ahead of us, but we were able to end the concert on a high thanks to our fans,” and “We’ll be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year, and I feel so thrilled about the fact that we’ve worked our way up from small performances to the biggest concert venue ever.” The two members added, “We’ve been preparing a special event at the end of the year to commemorate our 10th anniversary,” and “We’re currently discussing plans for events like an album and a concert.”

The entertainment part of NTV’s morning program, “Ohayon”, covered TVXQ’s concert at the Nissan Stadium. The program emphasized that our February bos were the first foreign artists to have a concert there. The two days had almost 144000 fans, and the whole Time tour in Japan gathered more than 850000 fans. They also performed the new single “Scream” at the concert.

[News/Trans] 130819 TVXQ “More Efforts Because Of Pride… Stabilize Our Core.”

    TVXQ 10th Anniversary Q&A

“Doesn’t performing at a big stage like Nissan Stadium make you feel prideful?”

“It would be a lie if I do not feel proud when I stand in front of a large crowd. I want to do well, feeling addicted to such feeling. I want to mesmerize fans… Maybe pride can mean confidence. A desire to captivate fans through our singing. I am more nervous and willing to do my best because of pride of being able to stand in front of fans.”

Changmin calmly answered the question and talked about a positive connotation of ‘pride.’ TVXQ, who finished their first day of Nissan Stadium concert on 17th, were calm and humble. When talking about achieving an “unimaginable happening,” their eyes shone with sparkle. When expected to hear the next grand goal, they said, “We want to strengthen our internal stability rather than being an empty shell.”

    Q&A

    - How do you feel after finishing Nissan Stadium concert?

“We are very happy to achieve a dream (Nissan Stadium) that we really did not think of right after 5 Dome Tour, which we were dreaming of.”

    - What would you advise to younger artists?

“It is only the beginning after you think you achieved something. Wherever you go, you can be greater than us if you do your work with sincerity and have good knowledge of places you go. We really want the younger guys to overcome our records. By doing so, Korean artists can spread words about Korea all over the world.”

    - You are celebrating 10th anniversary.

“We are deeply moved for we have grown enough to stand in big concert halls. Seeing our staff crying while looking at us, we feel that we have paved our own road, not just doing our best but with perspiration and effort.”

    - The next goal.

“We want to breathe with more fans. We want to stabilize our core.”

[News/Trans]130819 U-Know Yunho “Nissan Stadium Performance, The Best Present In My Life”

    ▶ Picture=SM Entertainment

TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho relayed his finishing thoughts on the Nissan Stadium performance.

On the 17th in Japan’s Yokohama Nissan Stadium the curtain was raised for the ‘TVXQ Live Concert 2013 ~TIME~’. Starting from 4/27 in Tokyo’s Saitama Super and ending with the performances on 8/17 and 8/18 in Nissan Stadium the 5 month trek was put to a close.

The first day of the Nissan Stadium performances was 8/17, the reporter whose excitement didn’t go away from the performance met with U-Know Yunho who said with a smile, “Memories from debuting in Japan till now came up. I had a lot to think about as the performance was approaching but with the many staffs, Changmin, and our fans who cheered us on, together we were able to accomplish a great result and it felt great.”

In one performance U-Know Yunho met 72,000 fans and said “There’s many worries the first time you stand at the performance arena. Even though you it’s going to be big and wide but seeing it from far away and standing on the stage and seeing it is totally different.” and added “Indeed we want to make it possible to perform here and I think from seeing our fans cheering us on we gained an unimaginable energy.”

A large venue, with people watching, U-Know Yunho who suppressed his stress and gained energy with the concert coming up said, “As long as a person lives he will get stress and all types of things will come up. Whenever that happens I worry ‘where is the place I can show myself the most’, today I found my answer” and added “That place is the stage. This performance was a chance to remind myself. Receiving strength from the fans, and being able to give them strength was great. From now on too I want to be an artist who is able to make even more of an impact.”

Since their Japanese debut 8 years ago, starting with small scale venues to a dome tour not even Japanese artists can dream of, to finishing the stadium performances, we are curious what TVXQ’s next step will be. With a serious expression U-Know Yunho firmly pledgedm “We always think ‘TVXQ is starting now’” and “With that attitude we can show TVXQ’s real worth forever.”

Meanwhile TVXQ is the first Korean singer to hold a 5 dome tour, made the record for first foreign artist to perform at Nissan Stadium, and in this tour they mobilized an audience of 850,000. With this TVXQ’s tour broke the record for Korean singers for mobilizing the biggest audience. Previously TVXQ’s ‘TVXQ Live Tour 2012~TONE~’ had an audience of 550,000 people, which was the record for biggest audience.

TVXQ are breaking their own records and writing a new history, and for after the final performance, on this coming 8/25 in Osaka Nagai Stadium, and 8/31 in Tokyo Ajinomoto Stadium they will participate in Japan’s biggest summer music festival ‘a-nation.’

[News/Trans] 130819 ‘TVXQ’ Max Changmin “Our Dream’s Big Performances But Small Performances Are Good Too”

    Picture : SM Entertainment

Max Changmin said that he’d like to get close to fans through small performances.

On the 17th after the ‘TVXQ LIVE TOUR 2013 ~TIME~’ concert at Japan Yokohama Nissan Stadium TVXQ members U-Know and Max Changmin attended the reporter’s conference and relayed their final thoughts on the performance.

Max Changmin, the first Korean singer and first foreign singer to perform at Nissan Stadium received a question about their next goal. Max Changmin replied with, “Instead of simply saying ‘Next time where do I want to go’, to speak truthfully and honestly, to be able to stand at Nissan Stadium truly feels like a dream. And truthfully, the opposite, the performance arena was big it took many people to direct it to make it possible, and I also feel sorry to many people among the audience.”

He continued, “The distance between the stage and the seats is farther than we thought so it was difficult to make a close chemistry. In the dome though it is easy to become close, so in that regard I feel more sorry.” and relayed, “With that being said I want to connect with a little more of the audience and simply perform without thinking about the performance place.”

Additionally he said, “Rather than a splendid exterior, staying a little more content and cohesive on the inside, and forming a tighter relationship with fans, I want to be that type of artist who can stay in the long run.”

U-Know Yunho who was listening beside him vehemently sympathized with Max Changmin’s words “Really true. Changmin said everything that I wanted to say,” and laughed at being so chatty.

Meanwhile on this day TVXQ were the first foreign artists to open a performance at Nissan Stadium and especially filling the seats with 72,000 people was a grand sight.

TVXQ held their live tour starting this year 4/27 in Saitama Super Arean to Sapporo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo performances and going through the finale in the highly decorated Nissan Stadium which holds Japan’s highest capacity. Especially since this place commemorates TVXQ’s 10th anniversary since debut, this time has become more significant for fans and TVXQ.

Meanwhile, TVXQ are scheduled to participate in Japan’s biggest summer music festival ‘a-nation’, and will appear on this coming 8/25 in Osaka Nakai Stadium and 8/31 in Tokyo Ajinomoto Stadium.

    Rough Translation

The creation of the light boosted the concert. Led light watches were distributed to the entire audience. While wearing it, the color is automatically controlled by infra-red rays which flashes during each song.

When the phrase “THANK YOU! TOHOSHINKI” emerged in red within a white background created by the lights during the encore, the two people stared at it with deep emotion. The concert ended with fireworks.

TVXQ Leaves Behind a Legend in Japan′s Nissan Stadium

TVXQ (DBSK) broke another record and left another large footprint in K-Pop history.

Through its TVXQ Live Tour 2013 Time concert held at the Nissan Stadium from August 17-18, the group proved that its presence couldn′t be replaced by any other, entertaining a total of 144,000 fans.

Fans held up their red light sticks, shouting out the names of the members and never cooling down for even a second.

Since April, TVXQ has been touring domes in Japan, starting at the Saitama Super Arena and going through the Sapporo Dome, Nagoya Dome, Fukuoka Yahoo Japan Dome, Osaka Kyosera Dome and the Tokyo Dome.

Finally, at the Nissan Stadium, the duo concluded its tour, rounding off with a record of about 850,000 fans gathered across 18 shows.

TVXQ is the first foreign artist to perform at the Nissan Stadium, which can hold a total of 72,000 at once. Only 11 previous Japanese teams have performed in the venue, including such legendary singers as X-Japan, SMAP and Mr. Children. With the concerts, TVXQ also rose to legend status in the country.

The scale was even proven by the fact that tickets sold across the two days added up to a whopping 16.1 billion won.

During the show, TVXQ filled the three hours given them with explosive performances and vocals.

The duo appeared at a 22m high stage to perform Fated. The performance ran into those for Android, Superstar andI Don′t Know, bringing up the temperature.

As if to show they were touched at the fans′ passion, the two TVXQ members bowed down in deep thanks when they got to greet their fans after the opening.

U-know Yunho said, "We′re finally in Nissan Stadium. It′s hot outside, but let′s forget about it and make this the best memory of this summer."

Max Changmin added, "I hope we can fulfill the dream of holding this stadium live performance together. I hope you continue to support us to the end."

The group then went on to perform YK3, Purple Line and Humanoids. The square-shaped stage that ran through the floor level helped bring the group closer to fans.

The members also exploded with emotion in ballad performances for Still and I Know.

The highlight of the show were the solo performances the members had especially put together for this tour. U-know Yunho appeared in a suit with a stand mike to sing T Style, while Max Changmin sang Rock With You with a guitar around his neck.

Catch Me was the song that brought the entire concert to a close. Fans made sure to get on their feet for a standing ovation and loud cheers.

Max Changmin said after the concert, "We′ve now turned another new page in TVXQ′s history," while U-know Yunho said, "I′m so full of emotion thanks to our audience. It was the best, and I′ll work harder in the future."

This, of course, won′t be the end for TVXQ, as it proved through the concert that its future will hold more challenges and stunning achievements to come.

This was an outstanding performance after dark live this. Red Ocean the audience create a pen light usually, of course, wristband light emitting variously blue, white, purple, green, and yellow to match the mood lighting and music, I had dyed vividly the huge stadium.

And emit various colors as fast as much wristband is impossible, the whole stadium is flickering flash when the end of the "Share The World" in particular. [TRANS] 130819 ‘The First, The Biggest And The Best’, Making TVXQ’s Japanese ‘Live Tour 2013′ Shine

144,000 people across two days, 850,000 people across eighteen performances. These are not the records of a popular pop singer, these are achievements made by Korea’s TVXQ. Three words to describe TVXQ’s Japanese ‘LIVE TOUR 2013 ~TIME~’ tour are ‘first, biggest and best’. Having proven that they’re more popular than ever, we’ve looked into what these three words mean to them.

    #First
TVXQ have become the first non-Japanese singers to hold a solo concert at the Nissan Stadium, which is located in Yokohama, Japan and can seat up to 72,000 people. As the place that once held the finals of the 2002 World Cup, the stadium boasts the largest seating capacity in Japan. If a ‘Dome performance’ signifies one’s popularity in Japan, a ‘Stadium performance’ signifies one’s status as a legend. Only top Japanese stars such as X-Japan, SMAP, L’Arc~en~Ciel, and EXILE have performed there. TVXQ have become the 13th singers to perform at the Nissan Stadium.

TVXQ’s first stadium performance began with another first for the group. Their Nissan Stadium performances were the finale of their ‘Five Dome Tour’, which is a first for any Korean singer in K-pop history. TVXQ began their tour in April and performed at Saitama Super Arena, Sapporo Dome, Nagoya Dome, Fukuoka Yahoo! JAPAN Dome, and Tokyo Dome. They are the fourth non-Japanese singers to hold a Five Dome Tour, after Bon Jovi (2003), the Eagles (2004) and Billy Joel (2006). This has proved that TVXQ’s popularity rivals that of legendary pop singers around the world.

    #Biggest
TVXQ’s ‘LIVE TOUR 2013 ~TIME~’ tour, which closed its curtains at the Nissan Stadium, attracted a total of 850,000 audience members. This is the biggest number of fans that TVXQ have brought in for a single tour, as well as the biggest number that any other Korean singer has attracted. It only took them a year to break the record they held with their ‘LIVE TOUR 2012 ~TONE~’ tour that attracted 550,000 audience members across 26 performances. The fact that they were able to do this in only 18 concerts proves that TVXQ’s popularity is blazing brighter than ever. From 2006 to 2013, TVXQ’s tours have brought in approximately 2 million people.

Their Nissan Stadium concert was coupled with a live viewing session of the concert on the 18th, due to the wishes expressed by their fans. This was the first time that TVXQ have held a live viewing for their Japanese tours and the concert was screened in 38 movie theaters all across Japan including Hokkaido, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Okinawa. The live viewing attracted 30,000 people and when added to the 850,000 people who had attended the tour, increased the total of people who TVXQ have met during this year’s tour.

    #Best
With this year’s tour coming to a successful end, TVXQ have proved that they are the best stars in the Hallyu Wave. Showcasing live performances that never faltered during the three-hour-long concert, they have proved that they are not only the best, but open to growth in the future. It may have been because of his time on KBS2′s ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’, but Max Changmin had everyone laughing as much as U-Know Yunho with his wit and charm. Though U-Know Yunho was as amazing as ever, with greater dance skills and showmanship than his counterpart, Max Changmin seems to have grown tremendously during this tour. AVEX LIVE CREATIVE’s Youko Kikuta explained why TVXQ were able to become the best when she stated, “TVXQ’s latest success is more meaningful because they achieved it through only their passion and high quality performances, rather than through a fad or the power of the media.”

TVXQ! “The Stadium Concert Is the Ultimate Gift of All” – Part. 1

K-pop group TVXQ! members MAX Changmin (left) and U-Know Yunho perform during “TVXQ! LIVE TOUR 2013 ~ TIME ~,” held at Japan’s International Stadium Yokohama on August 18, 2013. [SM Entertainment]

TVXQ! has wrapped up the long journey of Japan five-dome tour, marking themselves as the first foreign artist to have a gig in the Nissan Stadium, the biggest concert venue of the country accommodating over 70,000 people at a time. To accomplish today’s achievement, TVXQ! has made a slow yet steady growth since they expanded their boundaries into Japan in 2005. “From small theater to hall, arena, dome and stadium, we have walked our own path step by step in eight years.” Like MAX Changmin said, the record show was possible by no other than TVXQ! who have made ceaseless effort and been humble for all those years. The two TVXQ! members’ hearts were filled with pride after completing the finale show of “TVXQ! LIVE TOUR 2013 ~TIME~” at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan last Saturday night, marking a new era in the K-pop history.

    Q. How do you feel about wrapping up your concert?

U-Know Yunho: Above all, I feel great to show people how we’re doing well thanks to their big support. I was worried before standing up on the Stadium’s stage, which is 1.5 times bigger than a dome. But, as expected, we become incredibly strong when we receive cheers from fans. So we completed the show with a lot of fun.

MAX Changmin: I am glad to realize my another dream of having live show in the Nissan Stadium, right after successfully wrapping up the Japan five dome tour [Sapporo Dome, Nagoya Dome, Fukuoka Yahoo! Dome, Osaka Kyocera Dome, Tokyo Dome] I had dreamed of for a long time.
Our show started at 5:30 p.m. so I deeply appreciate to fans who lined up in a hot summer day. It was our biggest show ever, bigger than any show we’ve done before. So I expected to be nervous performing in front of the biggest number of the audience but I’m glad that I was more excited than nervous.

    Q. Now you made a definite achievement of your eight years’ effort in Japan. What is the secret of setting a milestone in the K-pop history?

U-Know: We’re more of a team enjoying the moment itself when performing than focusing on ‘stepping forward’. When we performed in small and middle-sized halls, we found it new and refreshing, always enjoying by ourselves, than stuck to the idea that ‘we should come out better than now.’
That’s why this Stadium show doesn’t make us feel like ‘now we are a big-name star.’ It is same with the time when we come to Japan for the first time. Many people took credit upon us for showing ourselves as we are, trying to do our best and searching out for something better.

    Q. Did you aim to do the Stadium show from 2005 when you expanded into Japan?

U-Know: When we first came over to Japan, I heard that holding a show in the Nissan Stadium could be a very different experience but also a difficult one. I just said “I’ll do my best,” but it wasn’t easy as it was told. Changmin and I decided to take it slow then. It feels great that our secret talk becomes reality.

    Q. What does the Stadium show mean to yourself?

U-Know: People assume that a dome concert is a big thing, which takes the artist something when having a show in one of the five domes in Japan. But when it comes to the Stadium, it is in a totally different scale. Along with the stage settings, it was our mission to think over ‘how to entertain the audience.’ Our answer was getting closer to them in person. It was physically challenging since the stage is enormous, but we tried to fill a vacancy in the thought of losing some weight.
For me, it was an opportunity to look back at myself. It is the stage that I relive my stress and find my real self. The Stadium show opened my eyes again. There were elder people and people with disabilities but we had fun together. That makes me realize that ‘I could give them a hope.’

    Q. How did it feel when you stepped onto the stage for the first show in the Stadium?

MAX: It is even upset that I can’t put it into words nothing but ‘a spectacular sight.’ My heart was full that there was the biggest number of people gathered as many as I can behold in my eyes. I feel like I can’t easily put it with a mere ‘good,’ ‘nice’ or ‘happy.’ It would be a treasure experience with complicated feelings.

    Q. You guys seemed to be too humble. There was a saying that a show in the Nissan Stadium gives the artist ‘a feeling of god who watches down his people.’ Didn’t you feel thrilled or get a big head during your performance?

MAX: It would be a lie if the artist doesn’t feel proud on stage. I’d like to put it as confidence. We aim to attract the audience with our songs, dances and talks. The addiction to it, the eagerness to play on the audience, is what makes us work harder. I hope I could get more ‘a big head’ on stage.

    Q. There must be a physical challenge since the stage is enormous.

MAX: Since I joined KBS’s sports variety show “Cool Kiz On The Block,” my physical strength improved a lot. In the middle of the dome-tour, it felt so tough once and I just wanted to lie down. But badminton is such a brilliant game, it made me reborn! (laughs)

U-Know: When counting my age one year older, I turn 30 next year [he was born in February of 1986]. (laughs) I’m doing my best because, first of all, I don’t want to lose or hear I’m over the hill but also I’d like to get over my limit. It was set yesterday to run around when singing the last tune “Somebody to Love.” We can’t avoid being exhausted in the last moment, so we decided to face it and run around the entire stage. I’m not saying that I’m physically strong but more support makes me stronger. I think it’s time for me to play badminton. (laughs)

    Q. As the show’s title “TIME,” there were lots of clock-themed stage settings and props. What does that mean?

U-Know: “TIME” is the title of our album dropped early this year. Our past effort enabled us to be where we are now and we’d like to show the current TVXQ! nicely doing in the future. We put all those in one story and try to melt those in our show.

    Q. As seen before the concert, it looks like you earned some new fans recently. What is your key to it?

U-Know: I heard that there are couples who go out on a date and see TVXQ!’s concert. It is the most pleasant thing when I hear that male fans’ responses were good. An audience who had came alone and liked it brought his or her relatives, and it went on and on. Now our concert seems to be a kind of show to bring their family members rather than a stage for manias.

    Q. U-KNOW Yunho was so fun when making comments during the concert. Are you known as a fun character in Japan?

U-Know: In Japan, there is a gag style that one person attacks and the other accepts it. I’m more of a charismatic image in Korea but in here, I played the later role in that Changmin talks very well. People liked it a lot and we chose to keep the style.

    Q. It was fun to see you doing voices or imitating a character in animation “Attack on Titan.”

U-Know: I wanted to try Japanese buzzwords to entertain the audience. I also did a few lines from popular TV drama “Hanzawa Naoki” (Romanized Japanese). “Attack on Titan” is one of the animations I like so I imitated a character in the animation. I and Changmin both like to imitate characters. Recently comedians we did voices liked it so we invited them to concerts, doing literally mutual help.

    Q. It is your tenth anniversary since debuted in 2003.

MAX: I remember the times from our very first showcase at Seoul’s Jamsil Sports Complex to Japan’s house, hall, arena and dome. At that time I thought time goes so slow, but when I look back now it makes me filled with emotions in that ‘I grew a lot in ten years.’ Some of the staff members even wiped their tears. I feel proud that our ten years are not mere hard work but making our own path step by step.

U-KNOW: Well, Changmin gets better at speaking after taking host on TV variety show.

MAX: I hardly say a word on the show. (laughs)

U-Know: It reminds me lots of thoughts that we mark ten years in Korea. We can’t be specific but we’re going to do any kind of concert or album to show our various sides in that. Like we saw our senior singers and thought they are ‘amazing,’ we’d like to become great and continuously-evolving artist rather than star as time goes by. W’d also like to connect with our junior singers. We have many ideas.

    Q. MAX Changmin made a public commitment to go half naked and wakeboard if your sixth album “Catch Me” are sold over 350,000 copies. I got the requirement from fans to remind you the commitment that it surpassed that number.

MAX: (in perfect innocent face) Did I really say that words?
(an official with SM explained U-Know Yunho’s funny offer about the target amount of “Catch Me” during an interview.)
Oh, so it didn’t get my agreement? (laughs) Anyway, I won’t disappoint my fans since I spit out the words. I’ll try to show myself ‘cheeky as naked.’

    Q. Now you made achievement to be the first Korean singer performed at the Nissan Stadium. What is your next goal?

MAX: There is nothing like ‘I want to perform somewhere next time,’ but it’s more like a dream that I actually performed at the Stadium. The big concert hall could try different stage settings and accommodate a big number of audiences, but the audience could feel uneasy because we’re too far.
I felt sorry about missing closer interactions with them. I wanted to have eye contacts with each of them, greet them and show my gratefulness to them. Therefore, I want to do concerts that connect well with the audience regardless of the size of the concert hall. Rather than being splendid on the outside, I want to run for a long time, being strong inside and stay bond with the audience.

U-Know: Wow, Changmin just copied the words I’d like to say. (laughs) It’s important to perform in bigger and bigger halls but what is more important is doing it at the size of my fans want and in the concept they want. For example, we can only invite male fans or only elderly people. Above all, I want to run for a long time.

    Q. What would you say to K-pop singers who follow your footsteps?

U-Know: They are so great, there are lots of cool artists out there. But it is a real beginning when you think ‘you made it.’ Do your best with a sincere heart wherever you go, do mores study on your own performances. Then K-pop will do better than now because there are lots of great artists.

MAX: We came to make a pleasing record but I really hope that our junior singers would surpass our record in the future. That would make K-pop improved, broaden the artists’ boundaries to various countries and enhance national prestige. I sincerely hope they become bigger than us and we serve as a foundation which let more people know about K-pop.

    Q. One last comment?

U-Know: Today’s concert is the greatest gift for our lives. I appreciate everyone who shared the moment with us. Although we made an achievement, TVXQ! would prove its real worth from now on. I promise you to show a more variety of charms from now on.
